"Open Crimea" tourism forum started in the Crimea

In the low season, tourists were attracted due to a new comprehensive support measure developed by the Federal Tourism Agency.

"The launch of the program in a difficult year for all of us stimulated domestic tourism and attracted many visitors to our region.

On favorable terms, the Republic of Crimea could be viewed by both Russians who have not yet been here, and fans of the Crimea," explained Irina Kiviko, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea and Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea, in her speech at the "Open Crimea" tourism forum.The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Crimea noted that the program has increased the availability of domestic tourism destinations, among which Crimea occupies one of the leading positions.

According to the Federal Agency for tourism, Russian travelers in the current year under the tourist cashback program spent a total of 6.5 billion rubles on organizing trips around the country and received back 1.2 billion rubles.In addition, the Deputy Chairman added, the Federal Tourism Agency is considering extending the program next year at the expense of the remaining funds in 2020.Not only tourists are interested in Crimea, but also investors who are willing to invest in the resort sector.

After all, the Peninsula has a serious health and wellness-mud, thermal springs, mountain and sea air, which is especially important against the background of the pandemic.
Businessmen build hotel and recreational complexes, organize campsites, eco-estates, and spa.
To date, Crimea Development Corporation has supported 24 such projects for a total amount RUB 23,2 billion. In the implementation of these initiatives will be created 1,290 jobs.
