In Sudak bay, the investor organized a mussel and oyster farm

The staff of Crimea Development Corporation visited an investment project in Sudak. As part of the agreement signed with the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea, the investor is engaged in the organization of mussel and oyster farms and the implementation of aquaculture of valuable fish species in Sudak bay.

During the field inspection, the investor told and showed the current state of the project. Now,a land lease agreement has been signed, the technical conditions have been received, acquired diving equipment, vehicles (boats), a compressor equipped with a pier and a platform for launching a boat on the water. In addition, installations (buoys) for collecting mussels are equipped in the water area.

The amount of declared investment in the project is more than 41 million rubles. 7.4 million rubles have already been invested.

For the reference: the volume of production of mussels and oysters on the territory of the Republic of Crimea in 2018 was 1,138 tons, in 2019 – 1,424 tons. To date, 7 enterprises in the region are engaged in growing mussels and oysters. The Crimea Development Corporation supports two investment projects in this direction.
