Irina Kiviko: 21 investment agreements are planned to be implemented in the resort sector

Investors' interest in the implementation of projects in the resort sector of Crimea in 2021 has grown.

Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers – Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea Irina Kiviko, reported this.

"Investors' interest in the development of the industry has grown. In 2021, 21 investment agreements worth more than RUB 20.1 billion were signed, which is comparable to the volume of attracted investment over the previous five years," the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

The projects provide for the reconstruction of existing accommodation facilities, the construction of new hotel complexes and campsites, the reconstruction of embankments and the construction of entertainment complexes.

She noted that in 2021, 9.4 million tourists rested in the republic, which is 26.4% more than in the pre-2019 year.

"This is the highest result in the post-Soviet period," the Deputy Prime Minister stressed.

At the same time, the number of organized vacationers, according to her, increased by 1.8 times over the year (up to 3.8 million people), which ensured an increase in tax revenues from business entities of the sanatorium-resort complex by 1.5 times (in total, the budget received RUB 5.8 billion).
