Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers - Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea Irina Kiviko, announced this.
"Small and medium-sized businesses are active in implementing their projects within the Free Economic Zone. As of November 1, 2021, 93% of the total number of FEZ participants are SMEs. The largest number of projects is being implemented in the field of trade and services – 396 projects. The volume of capital investment is about RUB 6.3 billion, about 10.9 thousand jobs are being created," I. Kiviko said.
According to her, 277 projects are being implemented in the construction sector (the volume of capital investment is about RUB 6.5 billion, more than 6.3 thousand jobs are being created). In the field of industry – 209 projects (the volume of capital investment is about RUB 7 billion, more than 13 thousand jobs are being created. There are 139 projects in the sanatorium and resort sector (the volume of capital investment is RUB 15.7 billion, more than 5.8 thousand jobs are being created). In agriculture – 185 projects (the volume of capital investment is more than RUB17 billion, more than 7 thousand jobs are being created).
As of November 1, 2021, 1,286 FEZ participants were registered, who are implementing 1,379 investment projects on the territory of the Republic of Crimea. The declared minimum investment volume for their projects amounted to more than RUB 130 billion. Of these, more than RUB 84 billion are capital investment. The creation of more than 50 thousand jobs has been announced.
The Free Economic Zone has been operating in the republic since 2015. Residents are exempt from paying property tax for ten years, land tax for three years and import customs duties and taxes.In addition, land plots are provided to FEZ residents without bidding.
