The coronavirus is not a problem: How do the Crimean agricultural producers work in a special mode?

Today, Belogorsky district is implementing a project in the areas of crop production, gardening and sheep breeding, on the basis of the former military state farm "Gurzufsky".Investor - "Agro-industrial complex Crimea" LLC. The investment project is being implemented on an area of 1.7 thousand hectares, of which 68 hectares have already been laid part of the apple and hazelnut orchard. To date, the investor has started work on its care, in addition, about 200 hectares of fruit trees will be laid this autumn.

The company laid about 95 thousand apple seedlings and more than 1750 hazelnuts. The investor will analyze the landing, see what will take root, and what will not, and make subsequent conclusions on this.

"The seedlings have just been planted and we will see the first fruits in 2024. Of course, this does not mean that we will sit and wait. All the time increase the power produced in future production through the landing", commented on the current situation the investor of Limited Liability Company «Agro-industrial complex of Crimea" Aleksey Bjoyan. Today, the company has focused on planting apple trees of special varieties-this is Gala and Fujina. It is noteworthy that all over the world, apples of these varieties are very popular and in demand.

In addition, the company wants to build a vegetable storage facility for 10 thousand tons for its needs. It is already possible to start implementing this project in 2021. In addition, this year, the investor plans to sow about 500 hectares of winter wheat.

This is not the end of the investor's plans, because according to the documents, the payback of the entire project will be 6-10 years, and during this time, you can come up with many more business ideas. Therefore, the company is already considering the possibility of growing grapes and even different varieties of tea. After all, similar projects are successfully implemented on the territory of the Krasnodar territory, and the Crimea, with its unique nature and landscape diversity, fits all these ideas 100%.

The investor did not rule out the possibility of creating a large agricultural holding in the future, which will include existing and new projects.

Of course, all this requires a large amount of money and state support measures. Even now, the investor predicts that due to the change in the exchange rate and the general rise in price, the cost will double. This amount is due to the fact that the feasibility study of the project laid and calculated the total amount at prices for 2017 and then it was more than 317 million rubles.

«Today, we do not fit into the amount that was prescribed earlier. Vegetable storage also costs money and this should be taken into account. There are also plans to build a feed mill for the further development of the livestock industry», the representative of the company explained.

However, as for the investor's forecast and plans for business development in connection with the methods taken to contain and prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. After all, some companies even in such a short period of time have already had to revise the company's policy.

According to the investor, the only thing that can affect the development of his project in connection with the methods taken to combat coronavirus infection is to raise prices. Now the company continues to operate normally.

Note, that according to the Ministry of Agriculture, Crimean enterprises of the agro-industrial complex and food industry continue to work now.

Enterprises working in the field of agriculture and food industry are particularly important for ensuring food security, so their activities will not be limited.

«Business cannot do without support» - our investor agrees with this statement. After all, the Crimea Development Corporation of the Republic of Crimea continues to support the project at all stages, helping to solve emerging problems and get round the so-called "pitfalls".
