Dmitry Sheryako: Crimean honey from mountain lavender will be exported this year

The Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of Crimea Dmitry Sheryako following a visit to the enterprise announced this.
"For the first time, Crimean honey from mountain lavender will be supplied to Arab countries that are interested in this. This is another confirmation that Crimean enterprises have learned how to work under sanctions and are ready to supply high-quality products to world markets that surpass foreign analogues," Dmitry Sheryako said.
In turn, the general director of the enterprise Alexander Novosad said that the apiary will be installed on lavender fields located in an ecologically clean high-altitude area near Alushta.
"We took samples of Crimean honey from lavender to the exhibition in the United Arab Emirates, where our products aroused great interest among potential buyers from a number of Arab countries. Unlike French honey, our honey with low humidity does not crystallize and can be stored in this state for several years. In addition, mountain Crimean lavender gives honey a very rich yellow colour and an exquisite taste," Alexander Novosad said. According to him, honey supplies will be small and exclusive, since there is not much of it collected from lavender.
