On November 8, 2021, the construction of the largest wholesale distribution center (ERC) is started in the Republic of Crimea.

"We are very pleased that our investor "PUD" LLC is starting construction of a wholesale distribution center today, which will help stabilize prices for agricultural products in the Republic of Crimea. This is more than 1,200 new jobs, the amount of investment will amount to more than RUB 6 billion. This is a landmark project for us," said Irina Kiviko, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea, speaking at the construction start ceremony.

She noted that the investment attractiveness of the republic has increased this year. "Investment agreements worth more than RUB 80 billion have been signed this year alone.
I think this characterizes Crimea as a successful region in attracting investment. This year, many agreements have been signed related to the construction of sanatoriums, tourist bases, recreation centers, and it is nice that the construction of a wholesale and retail center has begun," the Deputy Prime Minister said.

According to Artem Spivakov, General Director of the "PUD" LLC, due to the construction of a wholesale distribution center, retail prices for products of Crimean farmers are expected to decrease.

"All the added value loads are removed, all deliveries go directly from suppliers from factories and all this gives a reduction in goods on the shelf for buyers. A reduction in retail prices is possible by 10-15 percent. It's free," he said.

According to the CEO, 100 stores, about 20 more stores will be opened by the end of the year, represent the "PUD" chain in the republic.

The agreement on cooperation in the implementation of the investment project on the territory of the Republic of Crimea "Construction of a wholesale distribution center on the territory of a clean rural settlement of Simferopol region" between the Joint-Stock Company "Crimea Development Corporation" and the Limited Liability Company "PUD" was signed on October 28, 2021 in the presence of the Head of the Republic of Crimea S. Aksyonov

The aim of the project is to stabilize food prices on the territory of the Republic of Crimea. The creation of the ERC is carried out on behalf of the President, in order to resolve the situation on the food market in the territory of the Republic of Crimea.

In January 2020, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the Russian government to help find an investor with the possibility of organizing a wholesale distribution center in Crimea in order to stabilize food prices.

The ERC is intended for storage of consumer goods, food and their configuration for further delivery to retail chains.

The wholesale distribution center will be located on an area of 25 hectares.
ERC building – more than 50 thousand sq.m. The maximum cargo turnover is about 75 thousand cubic meters per day. As a result of the project, it is planned to create more than 1.2 thousand jobs. Completion of construction is expected in the third quarter of 2023.
