In 2020 Crimea is the only region of the Russian Federation with an increase in tourism revenues

According to the Federal Tax Service of the Republic of Crimea, direct tax revenues from the tourism sector amounted to 3 billion 842 million, which is 2.5% more than in 2019.

The Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Vadim Volchenko announced this at a meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea.

"The professionalism and responsibility of the employees of the health resort and tourism sector of the republic, as well as well-coordinated work and built mutual understanding between the government and business helped to achieve these results. All this made it possible, neither during the high season, nor during the record-breaking load in autumn, nor during the New Year holidays, to prevent outbreaks of the disease, ensuring the stable operation of accommodation facilities," said Minister Vadim Volchenko.

It should be noted that Crimea is a unique region of the Russian Federation, which combines a powerful natural and climatic, historical and cultural potential, which is the basis for the development of the resort and tourism sector. Such conditions give investors a multi-faceted number of directions for the development of their business in the tourism sector.

Thus, investors choose the development of health and sports tourism, the construction of hotels with an appropriate level of service, the creation of a network of campsites and much more.
To date, Crimea Development Corporation supports 27 investment projects in the field of tourism with the volume of declared investment of 30 billion rubles. 950 jobs will be created.
Also, in the Free Economic Zone, 133 contracts are being implemented in this area with a capital investment of 14.1 billion rubles. 5.280 jobs will be created.
