The volume of investment in Crimea increased tenfold – CEO of the Development Corporation

In 2021, the number of agreements to the Crimean economy is comparable to the revenue side of the republic's budget


Investment attracted to the economy of the Republic of Crimea since the beginning of 2021 are comparable to the revenue side of the republic's budget. Dmitriy Vorona, the CEO of the Crimea Development Corporation announced on the air of the "Krym 24" TV channel.

"We already understand that today we are overcoming the threshold of RUB 80 billion for attracted investment. This is according to those investment agreements under which investors have already assumed specific obligations to invest in the economy of the republic. This figure is comparable to the revenue side of the annual budget of the Crimea," – announced D. Vorona.

According to him, since the beginning of this year, the number of attracted investment in the economy of the republic has been increased by almost 10 times compared to 2020. "Therefore, we can safely say that there is progress,"- the CEO of the Corporation stressed.

He noted that the next step will be the implementation of two memoranda signed in June at SPIEF-2021 for a total amount of 30 billion, which are currently being under development by the Crimea Development Corporation. We are talking about the creation of a mountain and recreational cluster in Yalta and the construction of the "Yalta Park".

For reference: in 2019, 22 investment projects were signed with a total declared investment volume of RUB 3.98 billion. In 2020, 33 investment projects were signed with a total declared investment volume of RUB 8.4 billion.
